maple & threadINDEPENDENT DESIGN STUDIO

Small studio.
Wide-open minds.

Maple & Thread is a fictional independent design studio with a very real point of view: the most interesting thing about your business is what makes it yours.

Print studies and flowers on a creative studio desk

Curious first.
Careful always.

We like the questions before the answers. Who are you here for? What do you see differently? What should someone remember?

Those conversations give the work somewhere to begin. Then we test, edit, and refine until the details feel as considered as the idea.

A point of view,
from start to finish.

Brand foundations
Positioning, audience, personality, and a clear creative direction.
Visual identity
Wordmarks, typography, color, and a practical system for using them.
Digital & print
Website direction, packaging, and thoughtful pieces people can keep.

Room for
good questions.

What makes a useful starting brief?

Tell us about the business, the people you want to reach, and what needs to change. References can help, but a clear problem is more useful than a perfect mood board.

How does a project take shape?

Discovery leads to a direction, then a focused design system and the pieces it needs to support. Scope, timing, and deliverables should be agreed before work begins.

Are these real client projects?

No. Fieldwork and Common Ground are self-initiated fictional concepts made to demonstrate this sample portfolio. They are not client endorsements or claims of commercial results.

Every good project starts somewhere.

A few thoughtful notes are enough to begin.
