What a small business website actually costs in Tennessee

Website quotes vary because the word covers very different work: a simple information site, a managed service, a store, a booking system, or custom software. This is a scope guide, not a current market-price survey.

A landing page with a phone number and an online store with accounts, inventory, payments, and staff workflows are both called websites, but they are not the same product. Start by naming the required functions.

Use the questions below to compare like with like, then verify every provider's current price, recurring fees, ownership terms, and exclusions in writing.

Why quotes differ

A website is not one product. It is a bundle of decisions: how many pages, whether it takes money, whether someone has to log in, whether it talks to your cash register. Two businesses can ask for the same thing, a website, and need completely different amounts of work to get it.

Quotes also package post-launch work differently. Compare the initial build, recurring service, ownership, support, change scope, cancellation, and excluded work as separate lines before comparing totals.

What changes the scope

These six questions separate a mostly informational site from commerce or custom software.

Where Barnraised sits

For the standard website offer, I build a working site on a real domain before you decide whether to accept it. Nothing is due before that decision.

If you accept it, the site costs $3,000: pay once at launch, or $250 a month for twelve months. Same total either way, and both include the first year of hosting and changes, plus the computer the site runs on, yours with your first payment.

On the monthly option, stopping before the twelfth payment leaves the balance of the $3,000 owed; the site and the computer are already yours. Once the $3,000 is paid, keeping me is $250 a month, and cancelling costs nothing. The domain is registered to your business before launch and remains transferable subject to registrar verification and unpaid third-party fees.

Stores and inventory, customer accounts, point-of-sale or accounting work, custom integrations, substantial new features, and work outside the written care scope are quoted separately.

Hosting is your choice, switchable: Barnraised hosts the site, or it runs on the computer in your own building. The exact hardware, security, backup, data, support, and failure-responsibility terms are set out in the written scope.

A practical way to decide

Start with the six questions and a budget you can sustain. A mostly informational site is a different product from commerce, accounts, inventory, bookings, dashboards, or integrations; each yes needs an explicit scope rather than an assumed inclusion.

Before accepting a quote, confirm the registered domain holder, account access, recurring obligations, support path, cancellation effect, and what creates a separate quote.

Barnraised's standard price is published, and the proposed site is available for review before acceptance. Read the full pricing and terms, then see the standard build scope.
