Privacy policy
Barnraised is Steve Harris, building and hosting websites from Livingston, Tennessee. This page says what information Barnraised and the sites it hosts collect, why, how long it is kept, and how to have it corrected or removed. Last updated September 5, 2026.
What is collected on barnraised.design
Site measurements: the page you visit, a broad source class (direct, same-site, or external), and a few named actions such as opening the contact form or a work example. These records contain no form answers, full referrers, raw links, cookies, or persistent visitor ID, and raw records are kept for 90 days.
Contact form: your name, email address, project need, message, optional phone number, the page you were on, and whether the request came from the live site or a preview. The hosting service uses your IP address transiently to rate-limit abuse; it is not stored with the lead.
What is collected on a site Barnraised hosts for a client
Each client site has its own contact form. A submission stores the visitor's name, email address, message, optional phone number, and the page it was sent from, in that business's private lead list. The business owner sees it there and, if they have turned alerts on, receives a copy by email or text message.
Those sites use the same cookieless measurement described above. No advertising trackers or cross-site cookies are set.
Text message alerts
A business owner who uses Barnraised or Obscura Sites can choose to receive a text message when a visitor sends a message through their website. Only the owner's own mobile number is used, and only after the owner turns the Text alerts switch on and enters that number in their account settings.
We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile numbers and text-message consent are used solely to deliver these alerts. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Reply STOP to any alert to stop receiving texts, or turn the switch off in the account settings.
What the alert texts contain and how often they arrive: one text per contact-form submission on your website, so frequency varies with your site's traffic. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help.
Who can see it
Steve Harris, and the providers that operate the service: Cloudflare (hosting, DNS, and cookieless performance measurement), the email provider that delivers alert emails, and Twilio, which delivers text alerts. Each processes only what it needs to deliver the message. Nothing is sold, rented, or used for advertising.
How long it is kept
- Site measurement records: 90 days.
- Unconverted leads: up to 12 months after the last contact.
- Active-customer records, invoices, and anything the law requires: as long as the relationship or the law requires.
- Text alert delivery logs: kept by Twilio under its own retention policy; Barnraised keeps the delivery status and provider message id with the lead.
Your choices
Email [email protected] or call 931-584-1400 to see, correct, or delete anything Barnraised holds about you. Deletion requests are completed within 30 days, and you will be told when it is done. Business owners can turn text or email alerts off at any time in their account settings; texting STOP to an alert also stops texts to that number.
